Also known as Kowhai or Large-Leafed Kowhai. An semi-deciduous tree found in the North Island. Produces golden-yellow flowers in a group of 4-10 through spring. A slender small tree, graceful growth habit. Requires moist but free-draining soils.
May grow to about 7m when fully mature.
