A dense evergreen shrub with glossy, mid-green foliage when young becoming darker as it matures. A quick growing alternative to Griselinia that can be used to form hedges, screens or for topiary work. Plant in either full sun or partial shade where soils are moist but free-draining. Young plants will need some protection from frost.
Left untrimmed they may grow to about 3m x 2m.
