A vigorous, multi-stemmed deciduous tree which is usually grown to provide fodder for stock animals. Best grown in a sunny position where soils are fertile, moist and free-draining. Benefits from being trimmed back to help encourage new growth. Frost tolerant.
May grow to between 6m and 8m both in height and width.
