A stand out favourite of the Birch family. Suited to exposed inland sites and tolerant of most except extreme soil types this tree will do well in most sunny to partly shaded spots. The tree itself is slightly conical and elegant in form casting only dappled shade. Yellowy brown catkins appear in spring along with pale green leaves which turn crisp yellow in the autumn.
Grows to about 8m x 4m.
