Also known as Chinese Hawthorn. A hardy, deciduous tree with white flowers emerging in late spring followed by large, edible berries in autumn. These berries are traditionally used in Chinese medicine. Can be grown in either full sun or partial shade and will tolerate average to poor soils, frosts, periods of drought, strong winds and is suitable for growing in coastal locations. Ideal as a specimen/feature tree.
May grow to a height of up to 6m and 4m to 5m wide.
