The taste is a cross between Red Delicious and Jonathan of a sweet tart flavour and has crisp flesh that is good for eating. Skin is red with yellow under colour. Late season and a good keeper. Partially self-fertile therefore they require pollination by another variety of apple such as Braeburn, Cornish Aromatic, Ellison’s Orange, Golden Delicious, Kingston Black, Splendour and Winter Banana.
