An early to mid season variety bearing medium sized fruit that are red in colour and some fine russet. Sweet, juicy with a strawberry-like flavour. Would need to be pollinated with another variety of apple such as Discovery, Laxton’s Fortune, Granny Smith, Jonathan, Joybells, Lord Lambourne, peasgood Nonsuch, Scarlet Nonpareil and Sunset.
