Also known as Sea Buckthorn or Seaberry. A fast growing shrub with thorny stems, silver-grey foliage and produces edible orange berries in autumn. These fruit are high in vitamins A, C and E and are used for making juice, tea, wine, jams plus they also have cosmetic and medicinal uses too. Suited to most soil conditions and prefers full sun. Frost hardy, tolerates wind and coastal conditions. Deciduous.
Grows to between 3m and 4m.
