Avocado Hass is the most commonly grown variety in the world having high oil content and a rich nutty flavour. Flesh has a smooth texture and covered by a thick skin. Has a spreading, open growth habit. Evergreen.Hass is an “A” flowering variety where the female flowers open in the morning and the male flowers open in the afternoon. Pollination takes place when the opening of male and female flowers overlaps.
Avocado Hass grows to between 4m to 8m requiring a warm, sheltered’ frost free position in full sun with well drained soil rich in organic material.
