This is a vigorous and thornless variety that produces good crops of black-red fruit with a flavour similar to that of raspberries and the raspberry-like flowers are a good source of nectar for honey bees. Best grown in a sunny position where soils are fertile, moist during thr growing and fruiting seasons and free-draining. Fruit is usually ready to harvest from December through to January. Prune as required once fruiting and harvesting has finished.
