Has a mass of white, raspberry-like flowers in spring that are a good source of nectar for honey bees. Flowers are then followed by large, firm, conical dark burgundy-black fruit with an excellent flavour. The canes have a fairly vigorous growth habit plus they are thornless. Best grown in a sunny, sheltered postion where soils are moist during the growing season and when in fruit, fertile and free-draining. Fruit are ready to harvest in December and through to January.
Grows to about 1.5m x 3m.
