A cross between an apricot and plum with the spritely plum flavour and the sweetness of apricot. The skin is reddish-black in colour with golden-yellow flesh. An early season variety that is best pollinated by another Japanese plum such as Santa Rosa or similar that flowers at the same time. A good cropper with fruit being ready to harvest in December and January. Plant in a sunny position where soils are fertile and free-draining.
Grows to between 3m and 3.5m.
