A compact, evergreen. native shrub with new foliage being mid-green and gradually turns to a plum-red colour as it matures. Prefers to be grown in a sunny position and adapts well to most types of soil that are free-draining. Perfect as a feature plant and suitable for growing in reasonably sized containers. May be trimmed in winter to help maintain shape and size, but also helps encourage new growth. Can be planted out to create low-growing hedges. Hardy and ideal for growing in coastal locations.
May grow to about 1.5m x 1m if left untrimmed.
