A slow growing shrub that develops into an upright vase shape with slightly arching branches and dark green foliage. The golden-yellow flowers begin to appear in mid-spring and have slightly wider openings than other varieties of Kowhai. Attracts the native nectar-feeding birds. Plant in a sunny position where soil is moist but free-draining.
May grow to between 1.5m to 1.8m in height and width.
