    What a magnificent flower display.
    Bromelaide, Billbergia Nutans “Queens Tears”

Grandmothers, Great Grandmothers most revered plants, flowers spring to early summer.
Very hardy. Colour combinations of flower stem, ‘pink’, to deliver a spectacular flower display of multiple flower heads, in banded colour, green, pink, green with blue edge petal curving backwards to display a 2 cm green / bright yellow stamen.

I had it given to me and it has been in a dry arid driveway jammed up against a fence and competing with 70cm tall grasses and it survived and flourishes, approximately 15 yrs old and has generated dozens of new plants.
Highly recommended, there is also a dwarf version. As a single plant, like all bromeliades it would be successful indoors.
