A hardy deciduous tree with lush green foliage through Summer before turning red-burgundy in Autumn. White flower bracts tinged with green emerge in late Spring, early Summer followed by red berries that resemble small raspberries that attract birds. Prefers partial shade but will tolerate full sun if adequately watered and grown in moist, free-draining soil.
May grow to a height of about 10 metres. Excellent as a feature/specimen plant.
