These are grown for their large green foliage and bright red stems. Requires soils that are rich in organic material, moist and free-draining in either full sun or partial shade. Also produces yellowish-green flowers consisting of a spathe and spadix. Plant in a sheltered position to prevent the foliage from being damaged by strong winds.
Grows to between 60cm and 90cm both in height and width.
