It is a small, spreading evergreen shrub with the erect shoots bearing sage-like foliage that are grey-green in colour. Flowers are up to 3cm in length, hooded and deep yellow in colour forming whorls in the upper leaf axils from early summer. Plant in soil that is moist but free-draining in either full sun or partial shade.
Grows to approximately 1m x 1.5m.
