This variety of Abelia is an evergreen/ semi-evergreen shrub with eye-catching golden-yellow variegation on the young foliage. The golden leaf colour is most vivid when this Abelia is planted in a warm, sunny position and the older leaves turn dark green. Clusters of white flowers appear in mid to late spring and through summer. Prefers a semi-shaded position in average, free-draining soils, frost hardy and can tolerate coastal sites.
Grows to between 1m and 1.5m.
