Chondropetalum tectorum – Pb6.5 (80/90 cm)

Also known as Cape Thatching Reed. This is a beautiful, clumping, reed-like plant from South Africa that gets to be 1m to 1.2m tall. Along the length of the wiry green stems, brown bracts create bands that have quite an ornamental effect. At the tips of the stems clusters of small brown flowers appear. Drought tolerant but looks best with additional water and will need it to get established.
