Aesculus turbinata, Japanese Horse Chestnut – Pb6.5

Also known as Japanese Horse Chestnut or Buckeye. A vigorous, deciduous tree with a spreading habit. Produces conical panicles of cream-white flowers with small red markings in early summer followed by smooth-skinned fruit. Can be grown in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soils. A hardy specimen or shade tree.

Has a mature height of about 20m x 12 m.
