As well as Houhere, they are also known as Lacebark. A hardy, native evergreen tree with dark green foliage that are purple-green underneath. Produces a mass of small, star-shaped white flowers throughout summer and has an upright growth habit. Ideal as a specimen tree or for planting out to create hedges and screens. Best grown in a sunny position where soils are reasonably fertile, moist and free-draining. Tolerates dry and windy locations.
May grow to between 4m and 5m in height and upto 2m in width.
