Also known as the New Zealand Christmas Tree. A reasonably hardy, evergreen, native tree that produces a mass of crimsom red flowers throughout December and into January, which attract nectar-feeding birds. Has an upright, conical growth habit and are suitable for growing in both urban and coastal locations. Prefers full sun and average type soils that are free-draining.
Grows to about 6m x 4m.
