Spring time see’s this tree covered in a mass of white, tinged with pink flower’s followed by the large, plum-like, red and yellow crab apples in autumn. Foliage is mid-green with good autumn colour in shades of yellow, orange and bronze. Fruit is good for making crab apple jelly due to the flavour and pectin level.
Has an upright habit when young and arches as it matures. Suited to most condition’s where soil is moist and well-drained in a sunny position.
