These are small upright growing trees that produce small, pea-like flowers in early spring that are a rich cerise-mauve colour. The large, heart-shaped foliage begins to emerge after the flowers. Plant in a sunny, sheltered position where soils are fertile, moist but free-draining. Trimming may be done to help maintain shape.
Grows to approximately 3m x 2m.
