Also known as Variegated Sweet Chestnut. It is an attractive, medium size tree with leaves margined creamy-white. Produces edible nuts in autumn that typically roasted or preserved. Plant in acidic type soils that are well-drained. Suitable for growing in drier areas. Hardy and deciduous.
Grows to about 15m x 9m.
