A handsome, deciduous tree with a neat, compact pyramidal growth habit. Foliage emergres in Spring with a rich green colour and gradually darken through Summer before developing the stunning claret colour in late Summer, early Autumn. A reasonably quick grower preferring a sunny position where soils are suitably moist and free-draining. Tolerates dry periods, cool climates and suitable for growing in coastal locations. An ideal specimen tree that also provides good shade during Summer.
Grows to between 10m and 12m in height.
