A hardy deciduous tree with side branches form tiered layers. Foliage is glossy green and heart-shaped. The female trees, (when pollinated) produce racemes of small, yellow-green flowers in early summer, followed by small red berries. Best grown in a sunny sheltered position where soil have average moisture, humus rich and free-draining.
May grow to approximately 10m both in height and width.
