Has deep purple-red foliage holding well through into late summer. In Autumn, the foliage then becomes a brilliant red colour. Plant in a sheltered, sunny position where soils are reasonably fertile, moist and free-draining. Like most Maples this is another good choice for a specimen/feature tree.
Grows to about 4m in height.
