A fast growing, upright, deciduous tree, with pendant shoots, green when young. Leaves are bright green, lance-shaped, and somewhat twisted. Bears yellow-green, female catkins. Can grow up to 15m tall. A very striking tree, especially in winter, so give it a prominent place in the garden.
